Pick up is after breakfast when we will transport you to the very interesting Aranya Naturals and DARE (Development Activities in Rehabilitative Education) Projects. These two facilities fostered by Tata Tea are set in beautiful grounds amidst the Tata tea plantations. The projects help handicapped children of employees to make the most of their abilities by education and teaching practical self-help skills in a happy and safe environment.
After wards we take you to visit the Flower Garden and for an Elephant Safari, before driving on to the scenic Mattupetty Dam,Eco- Point and Kundala Dam areas. At Kundala Dam there is an opportunity to enjoy boating on the lake. Finally we drive through a vegetable growing area to Top Station which is situated high in the mountains on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Top station is of historical importance because originally tea chests were transported from Munnar and Madupetty by train to Top Station (the highest station on the Kundala Valley Railway) from there the tea chests were taken 5Km by rope way down to Kottagudi in Tamil Nadu. Finally to Koviloor Villages via Pampadum Shola national park if interested you can plan for an short trek organized by forest officials you can book the trekking tour on arrival. Koviloor a picturesque village in Kerala-Tamil nadu border. It’s not a tourist hub as majority of the tourists return after making a visit of Munnar. The village is famous for its carrot and cabbage plantation, a real vegetable village. From there Kolukkumala tea plantations can be seen. Here the locals will get the service of horses to carry the luggage.
